In 2007 3 file boxes containing roughly 30,000 negatives were discovered at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, Ca. In the 3 boxes was Surfing’s History from 1972-1993. Doug Walker traveled for over 3 years finding the people, as well as the photographers who lived and surfed in that fraction of time and the stories that would have been lost, if those negatives had not been found.

Just been put onto this. I like them, I like the self referential Crooklyn Dodgers hook, I like the fact their rhymes are dense like a dense thing. But they also remind me of Camp Lo in the fact that I’m not quite sure whether their rhymes actually make any sense, or if it’s just a combination of pop culture references, metaphors, cool sounding words, which don’t actually take you anywhere…
